Gard Diop work has been the embodiment of a cultural diversity.

Born in Paris in 1993 from a Senegalese father and a Japanese mother.

During his formative years, Gard pursued his education at Lycée Corvisart in Paris. It was during this time that he nurtured a profound passion for drawing, a love that had been with him since childhood. His commitment to art led him to acquire a diploma in industrial screen printing.

In the 2010s, Gard Diop moved to Japan and started to model in the vibrant fashion scene of Japan.

This experience allowed him to explore and appreciate the rich tapestry of diverse styles and artistic influences that the world has to offer.

Today Gard Diop collaborate with fashion brands as a watercolorist painter, with a particular focus on creating prints. Gard's art is deeply rooted in the aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s, an era that beautifully harmonize his dual cultural heritage. His creations not only reflect his love for this bygone era but also convey the unity and beauty that can be found in cultural diversity.
